My favorite fly for most any fast water river. I've caught a lot of fish on the Bead Head Prince Nymph, and it is usually one of the first flies I'll pull out of my box. I usually use a size 12 - 14 Price Nymph with a pheasant tail or serendipity dropper. This combo is effective anywhere. In lakes, I often reverse the process and use the bead head Prince Nymph as the dropper fly below a wooly bugger or leech. |
