This is my most effective fly for the Little Yellow Stonefly hatch. Tied with a Yellow Body and Elk Wing with a flash underwing and a sparce front hackle, this fly rides low in the water, but will take the heavy currents where this insect hatches. I often fish this pattern in tandem with the large Golden Stone. This pattern often outfishes the larger fly three to one. |
