Shad Flies
You'll find a few of my favorite Shad Flies listed in the following pages. My dad and I have fished for shad since 1970 in a number of rivers in California, including the Yuba, Sacramento, Feather and the American. These patterns represent the flies that have worked for us, year after year. The combinations are endless, and there are many effective patterns. If you don't see your favorite, please ask. I'm sure I can tie it!
