Fly Fishing Programs

I offer Fly Fishing Programs covering a number of topics from entomology and fly tying, to fly fishing travel destinations in California, Oregon, Montana, British Columbia, Patagonia and Alaska.   I can also develop programs custom-designed for the interests and needs of your club.  My programs are packed with excellent fly fishing information, are professionally delivered and feature excellent photography and videography.  Reference the photo gallery on this website for some examples of photography included in my programs.

Fly Tying Demonstrations: Included in my speaking fee is a fly tying demonstration covering some of the patterns relevant to the program for that evening.

Fees:  Fees for programs are $250.

Projection System: Presentation features use of Digital Projection System, screen and a laptop to deliver vivid photography and videography on screen. 

Featured Programs:

Solving Puzzles - My most popular program.  Relates Entomology and trout behaviors to fly selection and fly design.  The presentation features a 10 minute short video on trout behaviors.

Shad Fishing in Northern California - History, tips, techniques, flies and where to go fly fishing for shad in Northern California.  Features video clips of shad action on the Lower Sacramento River.  See my article in the April 2008 edition of California Fly Fisher on The Poor Man's Tarpon - Shad Fishing in California.

Fly Fishing Central Oregon - An overview of fly fishing highway 97 through Central Oregon with lot's of photography on some of the more popular destinations in this area.

Kisaralik - A Fly Fishing Float Trip through the Alaskan Wilderness with excellent fly fishing for Silver Salmon.

Montana - Fly Fishing Montana - Features excellent photography of a number of fly fishing destinations throughout the fabled waters of Montana.

Great Road Trips - Quesnel Lake, British Columbia - An overview of an epic fly fishing trip to central British Columbia.  The Quesnel lake region has outstanding fishing for very large rainbow trout, feisty bull trout and fantastic scenery.

Patagonia - New for 2008 - Patagonia is an enchanted fly fishing land.  This presentation features spectacular photography of the trout streams along the Andies mountains of Argentina.  Big fish, fantastic meals, Malbec wines and hospitable people make Patagonia a special place.  I'll share lot's of information about setting up your own trip to Patagonia.
